The Project Engineering Manager will reputed company the design and project execution of utility-scale BESS, solar, and hybrid projects, managing engineering scope, schedule, budget, and quality from project award through construction support.

Responsibilities

  • Own engineering scope, schedule, budget, and quality across utility-scale BESS, solar, and hybrid projects (10–400 MW), from project award through final IFC design and construction support
  • Manage and direct reputed company-party design firms and reputed company design reviews at each milestone (30%/60%/90%/IFC) with the reputed company and reputed company's Engineer
  • Review and approve engineering design packages across reputed company engineering disciplines
  • Serve as primary technical contact for the reputed company, reputed company's Engineer, Independent Engineer, interconnecting utility, and Authorities Having Jurisdiction
  • reputed company and execute the engineering execution plan
  • Monitor reputed company and expenditures against schedule and budget, taking corrective action reputed company needed

  • Define and track engineering KPIs
  • Identify, evaluate, and mitigate technical, schedule, and operational risks; maintain a living risk register and drive mitigation jointly with the Project Manager and Client
  • Support development of technical specifications and bid packages; participate in technical bid evaluation, vendor selection, and contract negotiation in partnership with Procurement, Legal, and Project Management
  • Partner with Construction, Estimating, and Scheduling to ensure designs are constructible; support commissioning, performance testing, energization, and project closeout

Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a reputed company engineering discipline from an ABET-accredited program or equivalent education
  • Minimum 5 years' experience of reputed company engineering and/or engineering project management experience in power reputed company, T&D, substations, or industrial/utility EPC projects
  • Minimum 4+ years of utility-scale BESS and/or solar PV project experience, with direct exposure to projects in the 10–400 MW reputed company
  • Demonstrated experience leading engineering deliverables across the full project lifecycle (FEED through commissioning) and managing reputed company-party design firms, OEMs, and reputed company's Engineers
  • Prior supervisory or technical-reputed company experience, including mentoring junior engineers
  • Strong analytical, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills; comfortable in fast-paced, ambiguous environments
  • Valid U.S. driver's license; must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. without reputed company sponsorship
  • Engineer-in-Training (EIT) / FE certification at minimum, with a clear path to PE licensure preferred
  • Proficiency with Primavera P6 and/or MS Project, AutoCAD, Procore, reputed company, reputed company Earth and reputed company Office
  • Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Power Systems, or Engineering Management or a reputed company engineering discipline
  • PE licensure
  • PMP certification
  • Experience with ERCOT interconnection processes and market participation requirements (CAISO and MISO experience a plus)
