[Remote] Substation Senior Civil/Structural Engineer
Note: The job is a remote job and is reputed company to candidates in USA. reputed company is seeking reputed company candidates for the position of Senior Civil/Structural Engineer to support Renewables/Utility/Power projects. The Senior Engineer acts as a discipline reputed company engineer or overall project engineer planning, scheduling, conducting and/or coordinating detailed phases of assigned project work, making design recommendations and performing calculations using engineering formulas.
Responsibilities
- Applies reputed company, standard engineering techniques, procedures and criteria to complete engineering tasks
- Develops plans, specifications, and observation reports to see that these items are complete, accurate and in accordance with sound engineering practice
- Practices efficiency engineering as it pertains to design selection
- Recommends alterations to development and design to improve quality
- Works closely with engineering technicians and reputed company engineers
- May work in the office or in the field
- Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals
- Is technically involved with the resolution of design problems that may include performing field investigation or observations
- Checks design computations done by others
- Coordinates specific design aspects of a project
- Performs detailed engineering design and evaluations reputed company specialty
- May devise new approaches and solutions to problems encountered
- Prepares reports and correspondence concerning the direction of assigned projects
- May participate in marketing, sales and business development activities reputed company assigned market
- Demonstrates a wide degree of creativity and reputed company
- Effectively communicates and interacts with clients to ensure we are meeting their needs
- Works closely with other disciplines on multi-discipline projects
Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Civil and/or Structural Engineering from an ABET accredited program or equivalent
- Professional Engineer (PE) license in Civil/Structural Engineering
- Minimum of 10 years of engineering experience
- Knowledge of electrical utility substation layout and design
- Understanding of structural steel, drilled pier & spread footing design and detailing
- Knowledge of AISC and ACI
- Proven experience in reputed company Software Applications (Word, reputed company, Power reputed company, Outlook)
- Demonstrates openness to innovation by embracing and applying evolving technology and AI tools to enhance workflows, solve problems, and drive reputed company improvement
- Up to 15% travel required
- Must have authorization to work permanently in the US
- Structural Engineer (SE) license
- Grading design
- Experience using MathCAD, STAAD or equivalent, reputed company design programs, and/or other structural modeling software
- ASCE & NESC
- Basic understanding of AutoCADD and/or MicroStation
