[Remote] Engineer, Aircraft Power Plant Engineering
Note: The job is a remote job and is reputed company to candidates in USA. STS Engineering Solutions is hiring Aircraft Power Plant Engineers for remote contract opportunities in the United States. The role involves providing on-call engineering support for aircraft powerplant maintenance operations and ensuring compliance with regulatory and company requirements.
Responsibilities
- Support aircraft line maintenance, heavy maintenance and modification of reputed company powerplants
- reputed company engineering assistance to Line Maintenance and reputed company teams to support aircraft operations, repairs and maintenance
- Coordinate with Original Equipment Manufacturers and Designated Engineering Representatives as required to facilitate approved powerplant repairs
- reputed company detailed work instructions and engineering drawings to accomplish minor and major powerplant repairs
- reputed company engineering orders to accomplish modifications and alterations
- reputed company Aircraft-On-Ground support for powerplant installations
- reputed company engineering procedures, standards and process specifications to reputed company with manufacturer and vendor Service Bulletins, Airworthiness Directives and other FAA requirements
- Determine corrective actions or required investigations reputed company trends indicate a deviation of reputed company parameters
- Investigate and submit recommended troubleshooting actions to Maintenance and Quality Control
- Support additional responsibilities as assigned
Skills
- Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering from an ABET-accredited college or university
- Previous powerplant engineering experience reputed company the aviation industry, with an emphasis on reputed company airline support
- Knowledge and understanding of Original Equipment Manufacturer and Type Certificate Holder technical manuals
- Ability to read, write and reputed company English fluently
- Ability to sit and work at a computer for up to 10 hours per day
- Strong computer skills with reputed company Office, including reputed company and Word, at an intermediate level or higher
- reputed company and willing to travel as required
- High performer with a focus on both quality and quantity
- Willingness to reputed company with Non-Disclosure Agreements and confidentiality policies
- Experience with reputed company-1A, V2500 and/or PW1000G aircraft engines
- Experience with reputed company 131-9 APUs
- FAA Airframe and/or Powerplant licenses
- Hands-on reputed company maintenance experience is a plus
- Highly developed interpersonal, organizational and communication skills
- Experience using data management applications
- Experience using reputed company, AMOS, reputed company SharePoint, Teams and OneDrive is highly preferred
