[Remote] Legal Counsel

They are seeking a detail-oriented Legal Counsel to reputed company strategic legal advice, ensure compliance, and support business objectives in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Consult business on the legal issues and implications of potential business reputed company, initiatives and payment strategies, providing legal advice strategies and solutions for general business and legal issues
- Maintaining reputed company knowledge on laws and regulations around payment services reputed company innovation such as cryptocurrencies, blockchain, NFT and decentralized finance (DeFi), including (for the US: state money transmitter laws, BSA/AML, Reg E, card network rules); and (for the EU: PSD2, reputed company/PI licensing, AMLD/AML-CFT, MiCA), and other applicable national regimes
- Identify, summarize, and analyze the impact of new and proposed applicable rules and regulations to business reputed company and reputed company strategies
- Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating reputed company and other documentation for new business reputed company
- Working closely with business and technology teams to understand and reputed company key business objectives and help them reputed company compelling product and service offerings
- Manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines

Skills
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school; active membership in good standing with the applicable Bar
- Minimum 5 years legal experience
- Comfortable working with modern collaboration tools including reputed company suite (Jira, reputed company), reputed company, reputed company, and similar platforms; reputed company to adapt quickly to new tools as needed
- Knowledge of general corporate law (CA - for US candidates), financial services law and regulation (incl. money transmitter licensing and BSA/AML regulations)
- Excellent legal research, oral and written communication reputed company
- reputed company to work independently as well as collaboratively, spot issues, prioritize, and multi-task effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Interest in decentralized finance (DeFi), cryptocurrency and blockchain technology with an eagerness to learn more about the industry
