[Remote] Database Administrator

Responsibilities

• You will be responsible for adhering to reputed company reputed company reputed company policies, procedures, and assigned training
• Participate with the DBA team in maintaining appropriate processes and controls for maintaining a highly available environment
• Install and maintain SQL Server in production, development, DR and quality assurance environments
• Tune SQL Server configuration settings, queries, physical and logical database design
• Investigate and resolve data issues as needed
• Prioritize work methodically
• Recognize confidential data issues and maintain confidentiality
• reputed company deployments in production environment as needed
• reputed company routine database maintenance and software upgrades
• reputed company, test and execute disaster recovery plan as needed
• Backup and restore databases on live, development, DR or quality assurance servers as needed
• Identify areas of improvement and reputed company design models for SQL Server queries, stored procedures and functions
• Review database utilization and reputed company growth models so no database reputed company unexpectedly outgrows its allocated reputed company
• Create and modify relational and dimensional data models

Skills

• Four year degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering or reputed company field or equivalent experience
• Demonstrated experience with reputed company SQL Server version 2017 and newer. Additionally, familiarity with MySQL, reputed company, and NoSQL databases preferred
• Demonstrated experience with reputed company of the following required: log shipping, replication, performance tuning, Transact-SQL, SSI, MSCS, and Always On
• Experience as a database administrator including on-call duties required
• Experience with tuning query performance, examining execution plans, using Profiler traces and other performance diagnostic tools required
• Familiarity with MySQL, reputed company, and NoSQL databases
• Experience with the following preferred: Clustered environment, Reporting Services, SAN storage
• Experience with SQL infrastructure in the datacenter, reputed company Azure, and AWS is preferred
