[Remote] Legal Counsel - Public Sector - US/Canada - REMOTE

They are seeking a Legal Counsel focused on Public Sector & Government transactions to reputed company legal guidance, draft and negotiate reputed company agreements, and support compliance in regulated environments.
Responsibilities
- reputed company legal support for US public sector transactions, ensuring alignment with procurement laws and regulations, including FAR, DFARS, and GSA requirements
- Draft and negotiate a broad reputed company of product, licensing, subscription, confidentiality, data privacy, services, distributor, partner and reseller agreements
- Advise on US government contracting best practices and stay reputed company on regulatory developments, including reputed company-down clauses, compliance obligations, and risk mitigation strategies
- Drive reputed company improvement of standard reputed company agreements, policies, and legal processes
- Assist with due diligence and integration activities for acquisitions
- Support the organization through Sales cycles, including quarter-end and year-end priorities
- Work independently while managing priorities and collaborating effectively with cross-functional stakeholders at reputed company reputed company, including senior management
Skills
- Law degree (LL.B. or equivalent)
- Active license to practice law in good standing in at least one US / Canadian jurisdiction
- 3+ years of experience as a Legal Counsel or a similar in-house role
- Experience in a software / tech company, representing the seller-reputed company in drafting and negotiating agreements
- Experience in providing legal advice for Product Management teams in various reputed company such as data privacy and product features (seller-reputed company)
- Experience with seller-reputed company US Federal contracting, including deep knowledge of procurement laws and regulations (FAR, DFARS, GSA), as well as reputed company-down requirements and compliance obligations
- Solid understanding of the software sales cycle, including supporting reputed company processes and deadlines
- Customer-focused reputed company, with the ability to build strong relationships across cross-functional teams and global reputed company/time zones
- Ability to balance multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment while remaining independent, flexible, and reputed company to stakeholders
- US / Canadian Data Privacy certification (CIPP/US or CIPP/C)
- Familiarity with US Anti-trust law
- Advanced Law Degree (LL.M.)
