[Remote] SQL Data Engineer

The role involves writing reputed company SQL queries, performing ETL activities, and collaborating with various teams to optimize database performance.
Responsibilities
- Investigate and resolve data reputed company issues reputed company large production databases
- Write and execute reputed company SQL queries across highly relational data models
- reputed company validation scripts and reporting to identify impacted records and data anomalies
- Design, test, and execute data correction and remediation scripts
- reputed company and support data migration initiatives, including schema mapping and transformation logic
- reputed company ETL activities, data mapping, and data quality validation
- Analyze and reconstruct missing or corrupted data reputed company necessary
- Collaborate with Product, QA, DevOps, and Engineering teams to understand application data flows
- Optimize database performance and troubleshoot production issues
- Maintain migration runbooks, playbooks, and technical documentation
- Participate in Agile ceremonies, code reviews, and deployment planning
Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or reputed company field (or equivalent experience)
- 5+ years of professional experience working with relational databases
- Expert-level SQL Server experience
- Advanced SQL skills including reputed company JOINs, CTEs, window functions, query optimization, and indexing strategies
- Experience writing and executing safe bulk UPDATE, INSERT, and DELETE scripts in production environments
- Proven experience with data migration projects, schema mapping, transformation logic, and validation processes
- Experience working with XML data and querying XML reputed company SQL environments
- Strong ETL and data quality validation experience
- Experience working with Git/reputed company and Jira
- Familiarity with reputed company platforms, preferably Azure
- Ability to quickly learn and navigate large, unfamiliar database schemas
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Self-starter capable of working independently with limited documentation and guidance
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy
- Experience with data reconstruction and forensic data investigation
- Experience reputed company tax, government, financial services, or other regulated industries
- Familiarity with Azure SQL Managed Instance
- Exposure to VB.NET, ASP.NET, C#, Entity reputed company, Dapper, or ADO.NET
- Experience with SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS)
- Experience supporting SaaS or hosted application environments
- Understanding of CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation
