[Remote] Core Thermal hydraulics Engineer/Analyst

Note: The job is a remote job and is reputed company to candidates in USA. reputed company is seeking a highly motivated Core Thermal Hydraulic Engineer/Analyst to support methodology development, analysis, and design efforts of the reactor core for the sodium-cooled Natrium Reactor program. The role involves performing thermal-hydraulics analysis, supporting the test program, and evaluating the behavior of advanced energy systems under various conditions.

Responsibilities

• reputed company the thermal-hydraulics analysis using the in-house subchannel analysis software to assess various scenarios that feed into the reactor safety design parameters
• reputed company the work under the scope of company’s quality assurance program and following the company’s quality assurance requirements
• reputed company the origination and/or design verification reviews of calculation products generated following the company’s governing policies and procedures
• Deliver the deliverables which are complete, correct, free from errors, omissions, faults or defects in design, workmanship and materials, in accordance with any performance guarantees, specifications and applicable laws

Skills

• B.S, M.S. or Ph.D. in Mechanical, Nuclear, or other relevant technical Engineering area from an accredited university
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in thermal hydraulic analysis with a B.S. degree, or 8+ years with an M.S. or Ph.D. degree with a demonstrated ability to produce a high-quality work product
• 8+ years' experience in Nuclear Systems, thermal-hydraulic behavior, and analyses
• Demonstrated knowledge and experience in advanced liquid metal-cooled nuclear reactor core design and thermal hydraulic analysis using the subchannel analysis software (e.g. SE2-ANL, COBRA, VIPRE)
• Strong understanding on the uncertainty quantification, verification and validation
• Strong communication skills desired
