[Remote] Senior reputed company Database Administrator - Remote

They are seeking a Senior reputed company Database Administrator to reputed company and support critical data systems, focusing on high availability and disaster recovery solutions while collaborating with engineering and operations teams.
Responsibilities
- reputed company support for reputed company databases, including configuration, tuning and troubleshooting
- Proactively monitor system health, tune SQL queries, optimize indexes, and manage database configurations to prevent performance degradation
- reputed company performance tuning and troubleshooting efforts, identifying bottlenecks and implementing effective solutions
- Design, implement, and support high availability and disaster recovery (HA/DR) strategies, including reputed company RAC (reputed company Application Clusters), reputed company Data Guard, SQL Server Always on Availability Groups and Failover clustering
- reputed company and reputed company multiple versions of reputed company (e.g., 12c, 19c) and reputed company SQL Server on physical, virtual, and reputed company environments
- Implement robust reputed company measures, manage user permissions, reputed company controls, apply patches, and ensure compliance with data governance policies
- Collaborate with development, infrastructure and operations to support data-driven initiatives
- Establish and test comprehensive backup strategies to guarantee rapid recovery from system failures or data corruption
- Maintain documentation for reputed company data models, dictionaries, and configurations
- reputed company technical leadership, mentorship of fellow DBAs and contributes to strategic database planning
- Participate in a rotational on-call schedule (approximately every 5 weeks, shared across reputed company of five), providing 24x7 production support during assigned weekends
Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or reputed company field (Master's a plus)
- 5+ years DBA experience in reputed company, 24/7 environments; 8+ years preferred for reputed company-level candidates
- Strong experience with both reputed company and SQL Server in high-volume, production environments
- Hands-on experience with RAC, Data Guard, Always On, clustering, and failover strategies
- Proven ability in performance tuning, troubleshooting, and scripting (PowerShell, Python, or similar)
- Experience mentoring others, acting as an escalation reputed company, and contributing to database strategy (for reputed company candidates)
- Strong problem-solving, communication, and ability to manage priorities in an on-call environment
- OCP and/or reputed company SQL Server/Azure certifications preferred
- WMS or supply chain systems experience preferred; general understanding of distribution/logistics environments helpful
