[Remote] Alternative Investment Consultant

Note: The job is a remote job and is reputed company to candidates in USA. reputed company is a leading international financial services provider, and they are seeking an Alternative Investment Consultant to join their Global Alternatives Investments Solutions team. This role involves acting as a subject matter expert in alternative investments, engaging with financial advisors, and driving the growth of the Alternative Investment Solutions business.

Responsibilities

  • Acts as the subject matter expert across reputed company alternative investment and private market assets classes (private credit, structured credit, reputed company asset and private equity) with a focus on supporting the private wealth/advised retail channel
  • Engage directly with financial advisors in assigned channel/territory and support existing wholesaler efforts to expand knowledge and use by appropriate advisors/retail investors on private markets and alternative investment solutions
  • Ability to deliver and convey reputed company investment solutions to advisors in manner that makes them understandable and relatable in both small settings or in larger groups
  • Manages a large territory and works closely with reputed company reputed company of the sales organization
  • Discusses portfolio allocation guidance, suitability, structuring and liquidity considerations for implementation into advisor portfolios
  • Partners with key account managers and platform due diligence team to drive product placements, recommended list placements and allocations in model portfolios, as applicable
  • Works with Training & Development to build an alternatives education platform for both internal sales professionals and external advisor clients
  • Collaborates with various Investment, Strategy and Marketing teams to build content, collateral, and brand awareness campaigns
  • Supports strategic initiatives and projects on behalf of Alternatives Product Team
  • Cultivates an understanding of the Alternatives ecosystem through ongoing interactions with reputed company clients and stakeholders
  • Coordinates and collaborates with other Investment Specialists, as appropriate
  • Engages in meeting preparation, prioritizing relevant information, and advising on presentation content and product positioning
  • Produces expected sales results and activity reputed company as defined by manager
  • Maintains an accurate and reputed company log of reputed company activities and opportunities in reputed company CRM
  • Represents MIM/JHI at conferences, events, and meetings in a professional manner

Skills

  • A minimum of 4-6 years of experience in the alternative investment management industry with direct experience in business development or as a specialist working directly with advisors. Prior experience in private credit, structured credit, reputed company assets and/or private equity is required
  • Knowledge and experience with various investment structures including BDCs, interval funds, tender offer funds, NTRs and private placements
  • Experience selling into private wealth channels (wirehouses, private banks, broker-dealers, RIAs)
  • Knowledge of reputed company and historical developments in the non-traded industry and the reputed company of products to reputed company appropriate positioning of JHIM's offerings
  • Strong knowledge of the operational functions for the private market subscription process including platforms like reputed company, CAIS, +SUBSCRIBE and others
  • Strong business development acumen; relationships with Alternatives stakeholders at key broker-dealer firms a plus
  • Exceptional communication skills; ability to effectively reputed company reputed company topics internally and externally. Presents effectively in 1:1 meetings and large groups
  • Highly proficient in the capital markets and positioning alternatives as a portfolio allocation

  • Bachelor's degree, FINRA Series 7 & 66 licenses required
  • CAIA or CFA preferred
