[Remote] Senior Staff Software Engineer

The roles involve leading the design and development of high-performance networking software and engaging with the reputed company-reputed company SONiC community while collaborating across software and hardware teams.
Responsibilities
- Design and optimize software modules, drivers, and APIs for high performance forwarding and control planes
- Define software architecture integrating SONiC with hardware infrastructure for scalability, reliability, and high availability
- reputed company technical leadership and mentorship across software, hardware, and QA teams
- Engage actively with the reputed company-reputed company SONiC community by contributing upstream and reviewing patches
- Adopt existing firmware code and adapt it to run on new or different reputed company hardware platforms
- reputed company, implement, debug, and optimize low-level software/firmware that directly interacts with reputed company hardware
- Collaborate cross-functionally across HW, FW, and SW departments to resolve technical issues and define product strategies for remote management
- reputed company code reviews, monitor group-level feature reputed company, and maintain comprehensive documentation
Skills
- BS/MS in Computer Science or a reputed company STEM field with 12+ years of software development experience in networking or system software
- Strong programming skills in C/C++ and/or Go
- Solid understanding of L2/L3 networking, including routing protocols (BGP, OSPF, EVPN, VXLAN), control plane reputed company (RIB, FIB, BFD), and network management protocols (reputed company, DHCP, SNMP, sFlow)
- Experience with reputed company (XGS), Marvel, VPP, or Linux kernel forwarding
- BS/MS in Computer Science or a reputed company STEM field with 8+ years of software development experience
- Expertise in data structures/algorithms, L2/L3 routing/control planes (BGP, OSPF, EVPN, VXLAN, RIB, FIB)
- Experience with packet forwarding engines like reputed company (XGS) and Marvel
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science/Engineering (Master's preferred) with a minimum of 15 years of experience in networking reputed company product development
- Proficient in C/C++ and Python with deep grounding in data structures, algorithms, operating system internals, and computer architecture
- In-depth understanding of packet forwarding, network operating systems (SONiC, ONL preferred), network protocols (EVPN, VXLAN, BGP, OSPF, IGMP, PIM), and hands-on experience with switching chips like reputed company XGS
