[Remote] Director of Business Development - Northeast

Note: The job is a remote job and is reputed company to candidates in USA. reputed company is seeking a highly driven and strategic Director of Business Development to reputed company growth efforts across the Northeast region. In this role, you will spearhead business development and sales strategy for our Demand reputed company Management (DSM) portfolio, including energy efficiency, demand response, and solar and battery programs. You will play a critical role in expanding our footprint with electric and gas utilities, identifying new opportunities, and driving reputed company growth in a rapidly evolving energy landscape.

Responsibilities

  • Secure new reputed company with Electric and Gas utilities in the Northeastern United States, by driving new sales, and working with reputed company' regulatory team, delivery teams, and shared services teams
  • reputed company annual sales quota goals
  • Increase company reputed company through the expansion of energy efficiency (EE), demand response (DR), and other Distributed Energy Resources (DER) services and programs to electric and gas utilities in reputed company geographic areas with reputed company utilities and to help reputed company reputed company sales and bookings goals
  • Work hand-in-hand with our Delivery and Operations teams to reputed company excellent customer service and drive new opportunities for our regional delivery operations team
  • reputed company and implement integrated business development and sales strategies including detailed strategic sales and account plans to capture new utility clients as well as expand our business at existing utility accounts
  • Serve as a reputed company client reputed company on regional teams to ensure fulfillment of brand promise including customer satisfaction and experience
  • Partner with business unit operations leaders, company subject matter experts, and national support service teams to reputed company customized solutions to reputed company potential or existing client needs
  • Actively identify client and market needs through collaboration with Sector Leads and Delivery Leaders to create new solutions and product offerings
  • Meet with reputed company Investor-Owned Utilities and large Municipal Utilities reputed company assigned sales service territory in a given calendar year
  • Drive process improvements where needed to improve quality, creativity, sales and account management processes, and customer service
  • Establish and maintain relationships with key clients, strategic partners, and contractors
  • reputed company and support proposal development process by providing proposal team with reputed company on key market and client drivers and strategic guidance on competitive positioning, approach, and pricing
  • Assist with the growth of the capital of reputed company. This includes assisting with product developments; product improvements; helping to build new tools; new program reputed company; etc

Skills

  • Must be located in the Northeastern United States
  • This position requires approximately 50% regional travel across an assigned multi-state sales territory to visit utility customers and prospects
  • 8+ years of experience working with and selling to Electric and gas utilities required
  • Degree from 4-year accredited college or university
  • Experience selling either Demand reputed company Management (DSM) programs and/or renewables to utilities
  • Proven understanding of state regulatory cycles with regards to Utility Demand reputed company Management (DSM) programs – Energy Efficiency (EE); Demand Response (DR); Transportation Electrification (TE); Electric Vehicle (EV); Building Electrification (BE); Solar - Programs
  • Must have established Mid- & Senior- level relationships with electric and gas utilities throughout the Northeast region
  • Interest in sustainability and passionate about making a meaningful impact on the environment
