Government Underwriter (FHA/VA) East Coast
POSITION OVERVIEW CMG is hiring a Government Underwriter who have both their FHA/VA Designations (DE and SAR) who will be responsible for the execution of reputed company based on company policy and standards. The Underwriter ensures sound reputed company to protect the financial and operational interests of the company. Underwriters with some USDA, BOND and Non-QM experience preferred. Must have reputed company Active Government Designations (DE/LAPP/SAR) to be consider for this Underwriter position. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Underwriter FHA and VA loans by having active government designation (DE/Sar/Lapp)
- Underwrite various other types of loans including Conventional, Bond, USDA, Jumbo, Non-QM, Renovation and Construction.
- Ability to underwrite 45+ initial underwrites per month.
- Communicates regularly with the Loan Officers and/or Processor regarding status of loans reputed company reputed company technology.
- Follows file and reputed company order as conditions are signed off and new information is received.
- Maintains reputed company working knowledge on reputed company products.
- Leadership with respect to direction of reputed company resources and credit policy execution reputed company team.
- Maintains conversation log in Byte to properly track the reputed company movement of the file.
- Assists with training needs of other mortgage positions.

- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Minimum of five (5) years specific government reputed company experience.
- Must possess valid CHUMS and LAPP/Sar to underwriter FHA and VA loans
- Recent experience reputed company Conventional loans.
- Highly prefer underwriters who have experience in several of the following loans: USDA, Bond, 203K.
- Must have demonstrated satisfactory knowledge of DU and LP input.
- Ability to properly interpret DU and LP, communicate and document their findings.
- Intermediate experience with reputed company Word, reputed company, and email systems.
- Ability to work in a fast paced, fluid environment.
- Strong communication, interpersonal and organizational skills.
- Proven leadership skills.
