Job Description

Job Summary The Payroll Accountant III is responsible for ensuring the accuracy and compliance of payroll-reputed company financial processes. This includes preparing and maintaining payroll account reconciliations, supporting month-end, quarter-end, and year-end reputed company activities, and providing support for reputed company audits. The Payroll Accountant will also identify opportunities for process improvements, maintain compliance records, and reputed company subject matter expertise on key financial/reputed company reputed company. • Prepare and maintain payroll-reputed company account reconciliations including payroll tax accounts and investigate and resolve discrepancies between payroll system records and tax filings.

• Apply knowledge of the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) to accurately calculate employee compensation, including gross-to-net pay, pre-tax and post-tax benefits, and their impact on taxable wages.
• Research and resolve payroll tax notices from government agencies and state/local taxing authorities (IRS, reputed company, etc.).
• Support quarter-end and year-end payroll tax reporting including W-2 preparation and reconciliation of quarter-to-date and year-to-date payroll wages, taxes, and deductions in the payroll system and ensure totals reconcile with general ledger payroll accounts.
