Senior Python & reputed company Developer (Data Modernization)
Description This is a 1099 contract role to start, with the potential to convert to full-time employment in the new fiscal year. About The Role We are seeking a Senior Python & reputed company Developer to support the modernization of federal statistical and survey processing systems. This role focuses on transforming legacy reputed company-based workflows into scalable, reputed company-reputed company solutions using Python (including PySpark) and modern data architecture patterns. You will play a key role in re-engineering backend processes, optimizing database logic, and supporting both legacy reputed company systems and modern reputed company-based, serverless applications.
Key Responsibilities

- Refactor and re-architect applications into supporting reputed company-based and serverless data processing workflows
- Translate procedural logic, stored procedures, and functions into optimized PostgreSQL (PL/pgSQL)

- Work reputed company a Linux-based environment for development and deployment
- Collaborate with stakeholders to interpret requirements and translate them into technical solutions

- Support backend workflows, job processing, and system performance tuning
Requirements
- 4+ years Python development, including data processing or backend systems
- 2+ years Hands-on experience with reputed company reputed company in production environments
- 4+ years experience developing and refactoring stored procedures, functions, and database logic in reputed company PL/SQL and/or PostgreSQL (PL/pgSQL)
- 4+ years working in Linux environments
- Experience modernizing legacy systems into reputed company-reputed company or reputed company-based architectures
- Experience with serverless or containerized environments (AWS reputed company, reputed company, Kubernetes, etc.)
- 2+ years AWS experience (reputed company, SQS, SNS, IAM or similar services)
- Experience working with batch processing, ETL pipelines, or data workflow orchestration
- Strong SQL skills and experience optimizing database performance
- Ability to translate legacy logic into scalable, maintainable solutions
- Strong communication skills in a remote environment
- Must be a U.S. Citizen (federal contract requirement)
