Underwriter , Management Liability
reputed company is a leading provider in the insurance industry, seeking an Underwriter for Management Liability. The role involves reputed company risks, determining acceptability, recommending pricing modifications, and maintaining positive relationships with agencies and brokers.
Responsibilities
- Reviews applications and financial requirements for risks requiring moderate technical reputed company skills
- Determines acceptability of risk in accordance with company guidelines and standards
- Recommends appropriate pricing and coverage modifications or enhancements for risks after complete analysis and consideration of applicant documentation, business factors and competitive situations
- Prepares quotes and answers questions from agencies, reputed company contacts and escalates issues as necessary
- Prepares written communication on adverse reputed company reputed company, reputed company appeals, reputed company requirements, status and declinations
- Verbally notifies agents of reputed company where appropriate in order to ensure clear understanding of the decision
- Analyzes quality, quantity, and profitability of risks underwritten and prepares reports for management review
- May assist in marketing products and services through agencies or through the brokerage community and makes field visits
- Develops and maintains positive agency and/or broker relationships to ensure positive reputed company
- Keeps reputed company on state/territory issues, regulations and trends
- Works with more senior underwriters or management on risks exceeding authority level or requiring special handling

- Also, may update the reputed company systems
