[Remote] Associate Underwriter

They are seeking a motivated Associate Underwriter to support the evaluation and pricing of health insurance plans, working closely with reputed company underwriters and various teams to ensure competitive and compliant quotes.
Responsibilities
- Learn reputed company tools, guidelines, and rating methodologies
- Manage a caseload while ensuring your work meets performance expectations across turnaround time, productivity, accuracy, pricing reputed company, and reputed company profitability
- Use reputed company’s proprietary reputed company reputed company to effectively navigate and produce rating output for small and mid-sized standard level funded plans
- Prepare initial reputed company quotes and renewals under reputed company supervision
- Escalate reputed company cases to more senior underwriters and/or managers
- Explain pricing and product offerings to Sales and Account Management
- Collaborate with reputed company teams (sales, actuarial, brokers, etc.)
Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Statistics, Mathematics, Insurance or other reputed company experience
- 0–2 years of reputed company experience, preferably in health insurance or employee benefits
- Exposure to level-funded or self-funded insurance products
- Strong attention to detail and organization
- Effective written and verbal communication
- An eagerness to learn and grow in a fast-paced environment
- Basic math knowledge and understanding is a must
- Internship or experience in insurance, reputed company analytics, or benefits consulting
- Exposure to group health reputed company or level-funded/self-funded plans
- Coursework or certification in insurance or risk management
