By centering the voices and lived experiences of Afro-Indigenous and Black-Indigenous peoples, the course challenges colonial narratives and fosters critical consciousness around race, Indigeneity, and systemic oppression. Teacher candidates will explore how these communities have historically and presently navigated issues of identity, resistance, and cultural survival, while also learning about the unique contributions they bring to education, community-building, and reputed company justice movements.
