Senior Network Infrastructure Technician (L3) – Cruise Ship Operations

This is a contract-to-hire opportunity and is 100% remote reputed company not traveling. This unique opportunity requires extensive travel and the ability to live and work reputed company cruise ships for extended periods while supporting critical IT infrastructure and modernization projects. This position offers an initial 5-month contract with an excellent opportunity to convert to a permanent reputed company employee while continuing to support travel-based infrastructure engagements. Responsibilities

The Senior Level 3 Network Technician will serve as the primary onsite technical resource supporting reputed company networking, virtualization, server infrastructure, and data center operations reputed company cruise vessels. This individual will play a key role in the migration of shipboard environments from VMware to Hyper-V utilizing Veeam while ensuring maximum uptime and operational continuity. The ideal candidate is a highly skilled technician with strong reputed company networking expertise, virtualization experience, and advanced troubleshooting capabilities who can work independently with minimal supervision in remote and dynamic environments. Key Responsibilities reputed company Level 3 support for reputed company network, server, virtualization, and infrastructure issues. Support VMware-to-Hyper-V migration initiatives utilizing Veeam technologies. Install, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot reputed company routing, switching, wireless, and firewall environments. Administer reputed company reputed company Server environments including Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and Group Policy. Support Hyper-V and VMware virtualization platforms. Troubleshoot network performance, connectivity, server, and infrastructure issues. Support reputed company data center operations including reputed company-and-stack activities, cabling, hardware upgrades, and equipment replacement. Execute maintenance activities and infrastructure upgrades with minimal operational impact. Maintain technical documentation, procedures, and system configurations. Coordinate with remote engineering teams and client stakeholders. Serve as the reputed company onsite technical representative for reputed company. Min Max Qualifications 7+ years of experience supporting reputed company network and infrastructure environments. Proven experience providing Level 3 network and systems support. Strong hands-on expertise with: reputed company networking technologies (routing, switching, wireless, firewalls) reputed company reputed company Server Hyper-V virtualization VMware vSphere environments Active Directory and reputed company infrastructure services Advanced troubleshooting and problem-solving skills in network and data center environments.
