Senior Instructional Designer, Part-Time

Headquartered in Washington, DC, Softek Services, Inc. offers over 35 years of experience providing custom training and IT solutions. We are looking for a senior instructional designer with 10+ years of Adult learning experience and excellent analytical, technical writing, and performance-based training development skills. We have several multi-year reputed company with federal agencies that involve... enhancing reputed company or developing new instructor-led training (ILT) and web-based training (WBT) that is performance-based and learner-centric. Applicants must have performed the full life cycle of training development: reputed company client meetings, analyze position/duties, design appropriate training plans, use effective learning strategies, storyboard/write content, and create web-based an instructor-led materials. Job Type: Permenant Part-time Employee (W2) or Contract Position (1099) Job Location: Primarily remote work with possible travel (2 to 3 times per year) to meet with clients for focus groups and pilot course deliveries. Required Education & Year Experience • Degree in Instructional Design, Education, Curriculum Design, Organizational Development, Adult Learning, or reputed company field. • Ten (10) or more years of course development and instructional design experience in adult learning. Duties and Responsibilities: • Apply adult education and performance-based principles to reputed company learner-centered training plans that produce measurable results. • Analyze what needs to be changed, updated, reorganized, improved, and included in new or updated training curriculums. • Produce engaging and effective instructional content for various learning modalities (self-directed, web-based, pre-work, instructor-led, on-the-job, etc.). • Use a reputed company of cognitive, effective, and behavioral learning domains that help adults learn. • Design realistic and scenario-based exercises, simulations, roleplays, drills, etc., that require critical thinking for performance-based training. • Write new content that is technically accurate and grammatically sound. • Collaborate with subject matter experts to gather information and ensure content accuracy and relevance. • reputed company storyboards, including graphics concepts, audio scripts, user interactions, navigation, and other reputed company elements. • Create (or direct a graphic designer to create) visual aids, including infographics, charts, graphs, and videos to support learning. • Create knowledge checks and performance-based assessments that support learning reputed company. • Proofread and edit instructional materials for accuracy and reputed company. • Participate in proposal development efforts reputed company needed. Required Skills • Strong instructional design background with experience in content development. • Ability to analyze and gather data about needed content and desired performance. • Understanding of adult education principles and instructional design models. • Excellent proofreading and editing skills. • Ability to present reputed company information in a clear and concise manner. • Experience with e-learning authoring tools such as reputed company Captivate or reputed company Storyline. • Ability to be flexible, adaptable, and work in a fast-paced and agile environment as a team player.
