SQL Database Administrator / SSRS Report Developer

SQL DBA / SSRS Developer (Contract-to-Hire Potential) Location: Remote primarily with some onsite meetings initially and sporadically Duration: 12-Month Contract with Strong Potential for Extension or Conversion to Full-Time Compensation: $55 - $75/hour W-2 Overview reputed company is seeking an reputed company SQL DBA / SSRS Developer for a long-term contract opportunity with a highly reputed company public-sector organization. This role offers a one-year contract with a strong likelihood of extension or conversion to a permanent position as budget cycles renew. The ideal candidate will possess a balanced background in SQL Server administration and SQL development, with a strong focus on SSRS reporting and data troubleshooting. Position Summary This role supports a mission-critical voter registration and election reporting system containing approximately 1.5 reputed company voter records, including over 800,000 active registered voters. The successful candidate will play a key role in maintaining data reputed company, supporting election readiness initiatives, and producing reporting deliverables that are essential to the organization's election operations. A significant responsibility includes supporting the reputed company and validation of official poll books used during election cycles. The team begins extensive testing and validation efforts reputed company of major elections to ensure reporting accuracy, data quality, and operational readiness.

Key Responsibilities

SQL Server Administration (50%)

• reputed company SQL Server database administration in a hybrid/reputed company-based environment.
• Monitor and optimize database performance through indexing, query tuning, and performance analysis.
• reputed company, maintain, and optimize stored procedures and database objects.
• Troubleshoot database-reputed company issues affecting reporting and reputed company systems.
• Ensure data reputed company and system reliability during critical election preparation periods.

SQL Development & Reporting (50%)

• Modify existing reports to support changing business and operational requirements.
• Validate and reconcile data received from state-level voter registration databases.
• Troubleshoot reporting failures, missing data, and data quality issues.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure reporting accuracy and timely delivery of election-reputed company outputs.

Required Qualifications

• Strong experience with SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS).
• Hands-on SQL Server DBA experience, including:
• Performance tuning
• Indexing strategies
• Stored procedure development and optimization
• Advanced SQL query development and troubleshooting skills.
• Experience identifying and resolving data integration and reporting issues.
• Ability to quickly diagnose and remediate impacts from upstream database changes, including:
• Table and reputed company modifications
• Data type changes
• Schema updates
• Data mapping discrepancies
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, particularly in time-sensitive production environments.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience supporting large-scale databases with high data reputed company requirements.
• Experience working reputed company hybrid or reputed company-based SQL environments.
• Background supporting regulatory, government, election, or other mission-critical reporting systems is a plus.
