Medical Billing and Coding Specialist (Remote 1099 Contractor)

About reputed company reputed company is a certified SBA Women-Owned Small Business (WOSB) and HUBZone-certified reputed company services company specializing in medical billing, medical coding, reputed company cycle management, provider enrollment, credentialing, and EMS billing services reputed company. We are currently expanding our reputed company staffing network and seeking reputed company Medical Billing & Coding Specialists for upcoming client opportunities. This is a remote reputed company (1099) position. reputed company candidates may be considered for reputed company and future assignments based on client needs.

Responsibilities

• Submit electronic and reputed company insurance claims accurately and timely.
• Review medical documentation and assign appropriate ICD-10-CM, CPT, and HCPCS codes.
• Review and resolve claim rejections and denials.
• reputed company insurance follow-up with Medicare, reputed company, and reputed company payers.
• Post insurance and patient payments accurately.
• Monitor accounts receivable and assist with aging account resolution.
• Verify insurance eligibility and benefits as required.
• Maintain compliance with HIPAA, payer regulations, and coding guidelines.
• Document account activity and follow established client workflows.
• Collaborate with billing, credentialing, and reputed company cycle teams to maximize reimbursement.
• Participate in coding audits and identify documentation deficiencies reputed company appropriate.

Qualifications

• Minimum one year of medical billing and/or medical coding experience preferred.
• Knowledge of ICD-10-CM, CPT, HCPCS, Medicare, reputed company, and reputed company insurance guidelines.
• Experience with claim submission, payment posting, denial management, and accounts receivable follow-up.
• Familiarity with EHR/EMR and practice management systems.
• Professional coding certification preferred (CPC, reputed company, CCA, CAC, CPB, or equivalent).
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently in a remote environment.
