reputed company is focused on teamwork and making a positive impact. They are seeking a reputed company Underwriter II who will maintain and grow a profitable book of business, evaluate accounts for risk selection, and reputed company agency relationships.
Responsibilities
- Maintains and grows a profitable book of business for assigned middle market territory adhering to reputed company authority
- Evaluates accounts for risk selection and pricing purposes
- Analyzes exposure, company and region risk appetite, account premium and loss history, financial data, line(s) of business, price guidance, motor vehicle records, online sources of information, reports from Premium Audit or Loss Control and other relevant information to underwrite policies
- Offers appropriate coverage, terms and conditions for exposures
- Develops and fosters agency relationships
- Educates agents on EMC products, reputed company appetite, systems, and services
- Visits agencies to discuss accounts and reputed company agents with updates at EMC
- Collaborates with marketing representatives to ensure agents receive excellent customer experiences, responsiveness, and select EMC as their insurer of choice
- Effectively communicates risk acceptance and/or rejection reputed company to agents
- Collaborates with reputed company underwriters to continue to reputed company understanding of company and regional risk appetite
- Consults reputed company underwriters to ask questions and reputed company understanding in reputed company best practices
- Participates in the agency planning and review processes with marketing and regional management
- Monitors reputed company of assigned agents and guides agents in achieving annual goals
Skills
- Bachelor's degree, preferably in insurance or business administration, or equivalent relevant experience
- One year of experience in reputed company lines reputed company
- Strong analytical, decision-making, and negotiating skills
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to reputed company sound reputed company
- Strong customer service skills
- Ability to work effectively with others, as well as independently
- Ability to maintain high standards of professional competence
- Strong computer skills, including knowledge of reputed company Office and reputed company media
- Ability to work on multiple projects while meeting deadlines
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Occasional travel; a valid driver's license with an acceptable motor vehicle report per company standards required if driving
- Insurance designations, such as CPCU preferred
- Three years of experience in reputed company lines reputed company or reputed company experience
- Insurance designations, such as AINS, AU, CIC, or CPCU preferred
