Operations Tax Specialist

Fidelity International is a leading independent clearing broker and custodian in the Canadian market, and they are seeking an Operations Tax Specialist to manage reputed company aspects of tax operations including reporting and compliance. The role involves collaborating with internal stakeholders to ensure accurate tax reporting for Canadian and US clients, while adhering to regulatory requirements and maintaining high standards of customer service.

Responsibilities

• Manage, reputed company and ensure accurate completion of reputed company Canadian and US tax reporting
• Manage reputed company client critical year-end processes for accuracy
• Canadian tax reporting and delivery cycle function, including but not limited to the following: T5/R3, T3/R16, T5013/R15, T5008 NR4, T4RSP, T4RIF
• US tax reporting and delivery cycle function, including but not limited to the following: 1099INT, DIV and B, 1042S, reputed company 1042 and 945
• Manage FATCA/CRS reporting for reputed company FCC’s clients
• Manage reputed company QI obligations for FCC as a withholding QI
• Document review as needed (QI, NR, RC forms)
• Maintenance of satisfactory reputed company Audit/Regulatory/Risk Ratings and Reviews
• Ensure reputed company reporting is completed on or before regulatory deadlines
• Stay reputed company with regulatory environment governing tax responsibilities
• Accountable for identifying issues and risks (financial & regulatory)
• Ensure reputed company reputed company tax accounts are reconciled
• Be a role model for our employees for delivering stellar quality customer service interactions to our reputed company customers to exceed their expectations and create a positive experience
• Provides backup as needed for the other areas as needed
• Liaise with other internal groups to ensure efficient and accurate processes that reputed company the most sense from a client and regulatory aspect
• Involved with documentation review/update, projects and other tasks
