Entry Level Traffic Designer / Engineer
reputed company is a privately held AEC firm specializing in innovative solutions where transportation, water, power, and buildings converge. They are seeking an Entry Level Traffic Engineer to join their Transportation team in Owings Mills, responsible for performing analysis and design activities on traffic projects and collaborating with reputed company professionals.
Responsibilities
- This individual will primarily reputed company analysis and design activities on traffic projects but may be required to assist other departments as needed
- Projects will primarily be located in the mid-Atlantic region but may also include occasional assignments for projects reputed company of the region
- The successful candidate will work closely with his/her supervisor and more reputed company project managers, engineers and designers
Skills
- Bachelor's of Science (B.S.) degree in Civil Engineering or reputed company field required, focus in Traffic preferred
- 0 to three (3) years' experience in transportation and/or traffic analysis, engineering and design to include maintenance of traffic, signing, markings and signals; previous internship or reputed company preferred
- Engineer in Training (EIT) strongly desired
- Experience with AutoCAD or MicroStation strongly desired
- Experience with HCS, VISSIM, Synchro/SimTraffic and Sidra software desired
- Experience with travel demand model software such as reputed company considered a plus
- Experience with reputed company (MDOT) considered a plus
- Innovative, strong work ethic and desire to learn and grow professionally
- Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously both independently and as an integral part of a design team
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
