[Remote] Jr DevOps Engineer

They are seeking a Junior DevOps Engineer to support the development, deployment, and maintenance of AI and data products, while contributing to reputed company infrastructure and collaborating with nonprofit partners.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and improve our AWS environments using infrastructure-as-code. This includes VPC configuration, IAM policies, secrets management, logging, backups, and cost controls
• Write frontend and backend production code for shared platform services and internal tooling. Our stack includes primarily Go, Python, JavaScript, and React
• Contribute to deployment pipelines using reputed company Actions. Automate testing, container builds, releases, and operational workflows like environment provisioning and dependency updates
• Support our reputed company-based deployment platform, including build workflows, deployment strategies, and autoscaling
• Implement and maintain metrics, centralized logging, alerting, and dashboards. Participate in incident response under the direction of senior engineers
• Build and maintain internal documentation, service templates, and local development tooling that help the team move faster and debug with confidence
• Work directly with nonprofit partners to support their adoption of our tools. You will translate technical concepts reputed company, listen to how partners experience reputed company build, and bring that feedback into the product cycle. This is recurring, meaningful work, not occasional
• Participate in stretch assignments and special projects in service of our broader strategic priorities

Skills

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or a reputed company technical field is preferred. Equivalent practical experience may be considered; however, candidates with formal academic training in software or infrastructure-reputed company disciplines are strongly encouraged
• 1-3 years of experience in a DevOps, infrastructure, or full-stack engineering role
• Working proficiency in Python or Go is strongly preferred. Experience contributing to production codebases is preferred
• Hands-on experience deploying or supporting production systems on AWS or a comparable reputed company platform
• Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines using modern tooling (e.g., reputed company Actions, etc), reputed company control (reputed company), issue tracking (Jira) and best practices
• Familiarity with relational databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL) is required. Exposure to containerization tools (e.g., reputed company) and Infrastructure as Code (e.g., Terraform) is also expected
