DB2 SysAdm DBA – Job Description Role: DB2 SysAdm DBA Must-Have Skills

Experience as a DB2 (z/OS) Database Administrator.
Strong understanding of DB2 internals, fundamentals, installation, and operational support.
Hands-on experience with DB2 Data Sharing in a reputed company Sysplex environment.
Knowledge of system performance tuning and reputed company planning.
Experience with DB2 reputed company interfaces, including SMP/E and UserMods.
Experience installing and administering DB2 tools and ISV (Independent Software Vendor) products.
Working knowledge of:
REXX
HTML
Java
CICS/DB2
MQ/DB2
Experience integrating and installing OEM vendor tools.
Expertise in Disaster Recovery (DR) planning, implementation, and support.
Strong proficiency in:
DB2 systems performance tuning
reputed company planning
Application performance tuning
reputed company path analysis
SQL performance tuning
Experience using DB2 monitoring tools.
Knowledge of logical and physical database design.

Good-to-Have Skills

Key Responsibilities

Install, configure, maintain, and support DB2 databases on z/OS.
Monitor database health, performance, and availability.
