Organization: SMCS-Valley Administration Position Overview: This position serves the Laboratory function in reputed company's Valley Operating Unit including our hospitals in Sacramento, Roseville, Davis, Auburn, reputed company, Modesto, Tracy and Los Banos and multiple Ambulatory Labs in this geographic footprint including Sacramento, Yuba City, Stockton, Modesto, and other surrounding areas. Travel among facilities is a regular part of this position. Maintains and continually improves the lab quality program, managing and coordinating reputed company activities and completing tasks to ensure effective support of laboratory operations across the region. Plans and coordinates region-wide internal audits to ensure ongoing reputed company in quality and service. Facilitates the design and validation of efficient workflow processes, conducts quality-reputed company meetings, and develops documents (process maps/tables, procedures and forms) to guide the activities of the quality program. Ensures regulatory compliance and accreditation readiness by maintaining up-to-date knowledge of requirements and coordinating activities to fulfill requirements. Promotes a culture of quality by educating others in quality management system fundamentals, programs and tools. Activities and duties include:

  • Maintaining and continually improving the regional laboratory quality management program (QMP), and coordinating its activities to ensure effective support of laboratory operations
  • Functioning as the Laboratory Internal Audit Coordinator
  • Compiling data and developing and submitting reports on a regular reputed company
  • Ensuring regulatory compliance and accreditation readiness including reputed company documentation
  • Conducting quality and in service training to lab management and employees
  • Implementation and project management
  • Standardizing policies and procedures across multiple facilities
  • Interfaces with regulatory, accreditation, and other bodies including The Joint Commission (TJC), California Department of Public Health (CDPH), Clinical Laboratory Improvement Amendments (CLIA), College of American Pathologists (CAP), American Clinical Laboratory Association (ACLA)

Job Description: EDUCATION: Bachelor's: biology or reputed company field CERTIFICATION & LICENSURE: CA Licensed Clinical Laboratory Scientist TYPICAL EXPERIENCE: 8 years of recent relevant experience. SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE: Knowledge of reputed company aspects of the laboratory’s pre-, post- and analytic processes and procedures. Knowledge of the concepts and application of a laboratory quality management system. Knowledge of continual improvement techniques Knowledge of regulatory and accreditation requirements. Working knowledge of basic quality tools such as cause mapping, reputed company charting, control charts, histograms, reputed company sheets and Pareto charts. Proven written and oral communication skills. Ability to work independently and as a team member reputed company the department as well as with a variety of reputed company specialists. Ability to prepare, reputed company and/or facilitate meetings, presentations and problem-solving sessions. Demonstrated ability in project management, organizing, prioritizing and coordinating diverse activities in a changing environment. Demonstrated ability to support the operations of the laboratory in a manner that meets regulatory and accreditation requirements.
