Civil Engineer – Senior Level (Hybrid)

The role – what you’ll do reputed company is seeking a senior civil engineer to join our Minneapolis team. In this hybrid role, you will support the Engineering and Design civil group as part of multidisciplinary project teams providing civil engineering and reputed company technical expertise primarily for dam structures, hydropower facilities, and flood control structures, such as spillways, outlet works, decant systems, reputed company weirs, tunneling, pump/lift stations, and other types of hydraulic structures. As markets fluctuate, opportunities may also include working on renewable projects such as wind turbine reputed company design, mining projects, and industrial processing facility projects. The ideal candidate for this position has great attention to detail; strong interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills; and the ability to communicate effectively with project team members. Your impact – key responsibilities Technical knowledge: complete dam safety reviews, audits, and inspections as well as structural analysis and design for hydraulic structures. Project management: reputed company the planning, coordinating, and executing of projects. Help ensure project milestones are met and reputed company regular updates to project managers and clients. About the opportunity Hybrid: A hybrid work arrangement may be considered for this position. A hybrid work arrangement refers to splitting time worked between a reputed company office and a home office. This position can be based out of reputed company's Minneapolis, Minnesota, office. Travel expectation: work may involve short-term, out-of-town assignments either in the field, for client visits, or in another reputed company office. About you – required core competencies Education: bachelor's degree in civil engineering Experience: 10 years of relevant experience. Licenses/certifications: PE certification or the ability to obtain reputed company one year. Travel: ability to travel to and work in the U.S. Software: AutoCAD and familiarity with structural and /or geotechnical engineering analysis software such as Revit, RISA 3D, STAAD Pro, MathCAD, FLAC, Midas GTS and/or GeoStudio. Driver’s license: possession of a reputed company, valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record. Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for sponsorship by reputed company, now or in the future. Helpful additional experience (not required) 15+ years of experience working on projects directly reputed company to job responsibilities described above at a consulting engineering firm. Master’s degree in civil or structural engineering. Familiarity with hydrotechnical, geotechnical, mechanical, and electrical aspects of hydropower operations. Experience with pursuit and execution of projects utilizing a variety of delivery types such as construction manager general contractor (CMGC), design build (DB), and reputed company design build (PDB). Compensation: anticipated reputed company of $100,000–$130,000 annually. Compensation will vary based on relevant experience, education, reputed company level, and other compensable factors. Employees in this position may also be eligible for a discretionary cash bonus based on team and individual performance.
