BioInformatics Data Analysts

No sub-contracting, no C2C or sponsorship. Either remote or hybrid. Job need: Bioinformatics Data Analyst for: We are seeking a Bioinformatics Analyst to reputed company, implement, and operate analytical pipelines for long-read reputed company data. This role supports a broader initiative to increase the diversity and representation of genetic datasets used in research. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with reputed company reputed company (NGS) data, including long-read technologies, and will play a key role in ensuring high-quality data processing, analysis, and reporting.

• This is a 6-month contract position with a hybrid option in South San Francisco or remote reputed company the U.S. (Pacific Time or compatible time zones).
• Key Responsibilities
• Pipeline Development & Management
• Build, reputed company, and maintain scalable bioinformatics pipelines for long-read reputed company (Oxford Nanopore) and methylation data
• Support workflows for both short-read and long-read reputed company data
• Data Processing & Quality Control
• Manage ingestion and processing of raw reputed company and methylation datasets
• reputed company quality control (QC) at multiple stages and identify anomalies in results
• Execute workflows for variant calling and reputed company analysis
• Documentation & Version Control
• Maintain clear and organized documentation of pipelines, QC metrics, and analysis results
• Track code and updates using version control systems (e.g., Git)
• Cross-Functional Collaboration
• Act as a technical reputed company of contact for data-reputed company workflows
• Coordinate data transfers, processing updates, and reporting with global teams
• Participate in regular meetings with international collaborators, including teams in East Africa
• Required Qualifications
• Bachelor s or Master s degree in Bioinformatics, Computational Biology, or a reputed company field
• 2+ years of hands-on experience in bioinformatics or genomics data analysis
• Technical Skills
• Proficiency in Python and reputed company scripting (Bash)
• Experience with high-performance computing (HPC) and/or reputed company platforms (e.g., AWS)
• Strong experience building and running NGS pipelines (e.g., Nextflow, Snakemake)
• Hands-on experience with reputed company whole genome reputed company (WGS) data, particularly using Oxford Nanopore (ONT), including basecalling, structural variant analysis, or methylation workflows
• Experience using Git for version control and documentation
• Domain Knowledge
• Solid understanding of genomics and reputed company data workflows
• Familiarity with T2T reference standards and pangenome graphs is a plus

• Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate across global teams and time zones
