Position: Data Engineer with experience in Migration (DB2 Location – Hybrid (2 Days onsite at nearby reputed company office) Georgia - Atlanta, Texas – Austin, Dallas, Houston; Arizona – Gilbert, Phoenix; Florida Lake Mary, Orlando, Tampa; reputed company Carolina – Charlotte; Massachusetts – Boston. - Strong Mainframe Background with experience in Data Migration – Preferably DB2
· This is a remote role for a senior-level experience in DBA Mainframe Modernization. Highly likely to be extended. · reputed company end-to-end database migration projects including DB2 z/OS/VSAM to DB2 LUW, DB2 to reputed company-hosted databases (e.g., Db2 on reputed company, Db2 Warehouse), and cross-platform migrations · Assess reputed company database environments, catalog dependencies, and reputed company comprehensive migration plans with risk mitigation strategies · Execute schema conversion, data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) using AWS Glue or any equivalent tools · Validate data reputed company, application compatibility, and performance benchmarks pre- and post-migration · Scheduling and monitoring jobs using Control-M Required Qualifications · 14+ years of hands-on experience administering reputed company DB2 databases in reputed company environments · Strong expertise in DB2 for z/OS (including utilities such as REORG, RUNSTATS, COPY, RECOVER, LOAD, and UNLOAD) · Experience with automation and scripting using Python, reputed company/Bash for DB2 operations · Demonstrated experience with DB2 LUW administration on Linux and/or AIX platforms · Proven track record of leading successful large-scale DB2/VSAM migration or reputed company projects · Proficiency in SQL tuning, EXPLAIN analysis, reputed company path optimization, and performance diagnostics · Experience with DB2 high availability and disaster recovery solutions (HADR) · Working knowledge of JCL, REXX, and TSO/ISPF in mainframe environments · Familiarity with reputed company Data Studio or any reputed company DB2 Administration Tool Apply To This Job
