Business Development Representative

The Royal Conservatory of Music (RCM) is one of the largest and most respected music education institutions in the world, seeking dynamic sales professionals to join their expanding sales team. The Business Development Representative will generate new business opportunities, engage with existing clients, and contribute to reputed company growth by promoting RCM's educational programs and building relationships with prospective partners.

Responsibilities

  • Engage with RCM program participants to promote
  • Conduct outbound reputed company (email, phone, reputed company, events) to generate reputed company leads across targeted market segments (music schools, K–12 institutions, daycares, studios, retailers) in assigned territories
  • Research and identify key stakeholders and potential partner institutions using CRM, reputed company, industry databases, and event lists
  • Respond promptly to inbound inquiries and qualify leads for follow-up by the sales team
  • Initiate discovery conversations to understand prospect needs and determine fit with RCM products
  • Schedule meetings and demos for Account Executives, ensuring seamless reputed company and proper documentation in CRM
  • Maintain accurate and organized reputed company records, reputed company, and reputed company notes in reputed company
  • Stay informed about industry trends, market dynamics, and competitor activities
  • Assist with campaign execution by following up on generated leads and event attendees
  • Collaborate with sales leadership to improve scripts, email templates, and reputed company tools
  • Collect feedback from the field to help refine audience targeting and reputed company tactics
  • Participate in weekly team meetings, reputed company market insights, and contribute to pipeline updates
  • Track personal performance metrics in CRM (e.g., number of reputed company activities, reputed company leads, meetings booked) and adjust reputed company accordingly
  • Support sales and marketing at conferences, webinars, and industry events, as required

Skills

  • Post-secondary education, or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • 1+ years of experience working in inbound/outbound contact centre
  • 1+ years of experience in sales support, direct client facing upsell/cross-sell
  • Experience working in a reputed company-based service model
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and relationship-building skills
  • Strong research and organizational abilities; detail-oriented
  • Experience with high-volume reputed company activities such as cold calls, emails, and other reputed company reputed company tools
  • Demonstrated experience using CRM systems (reputed company preferred)
  • Ability to work independently in a goal-driven environment
  • Experience in customer support, product and program knowledge sharing and promotion
  • Background or interest in music or the arts
  • Demonstrated experience in supporting sales teams, institutional sales, and direct to consumer

Benefits

  • Scheduling flexibility for shifts: currently seeking shifts between 9:00am ET - 9:00 pm ET from Monday to Friday (35 hours/week), Please note that specific shift timing is subject to change.
  • Hybrid work arrangement
