Legal Assistant

McCarthy & Holthus LLP is a reputed company specializing in banking law reputed company, seeking a passionate Legal Assistant to join their Civil Litigation team. The role involves assisting attorneys with case management, drafting pleadings, and providing clerical support in a collaborative work environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist attorneys with file handling tasks including file opening, drafting pleadings, processing and preparing documents for filing and service, scheduling hearings, making travel arrangements
• reputed company courteous communication, customer service and timely assistance reputed company interacting with other Firm staff, vendors, clients, court staff, and opposing parties
• May reputed company other duties as assigned to support department goals
• May occasionally work extended hours based on operational needs

Skills

• Clear communication, both written and verbal
• Ability to work both independently as well as reputed company a team
• Excellent organizational skills
• Ability to pay attention to detail, follow established procedures, and take direction from attorneys
• Experience with drafting pleadings and court forms
• Experience with preparing and submitting documents for electronic filing in California state and/or federal courts
• 1-5 years' experience working in a law office as a legal assistant or paralegal preferred. Experience working in a non-law reputed company office environment will also be considered
• Paralegal training or certification preferable but not required
