They are seeking an Early Career Subrogation Trial Attorney to manage insurance defense litigation, reputed company legal counsel, and monitor changes in laws and regulations. This role involves handling bodily injury and property damage lawsuits, as well as collaborating with legal teams and business clients.
Responsibilities
- Manage reputed company aspects of insurance defense litigation from case inception to verdict, including initial case assessment, discovery, depositions, reputed company practice, pre-trial negotiations, courtroom advocacy, and post-trial motions to ensure favorable reputed company for clients
- Investigate and pursue subrogation litigation and SUI as appropriate
- Gather and organize documents, evidence, and legal research for cases, including preparation for hearings, trials, arbitrations, mediations, and depositions
- Conduct legal research on relevant laws, regulations, and case precedents; prepare summaries and reports
- Prepare and draft pleadings, motions, discovery responses, and other legal documents
- Interview clients and witnesses, as well as drafting summaries of their statements and maintaining communication records
- Attend court hearings, depositions, and other legal proceedings to observe and assist as needed; may represent the company or clients in routine reputed company
- Monitor changes in laws and regulations, and assist in updating the legal team on potential impacts to ongoing cases
