Engineering Technician Assistant A8/B6

The Engineering Technician Assistant role involves supporting technical and administrative project activities, including compiling information, preparing reports, and coordinating with various stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Compile information, reputed company calculations and use in the preparation of reports, studies, research projects, etc
• Prepare or assist in the preparation of test orders, work orders, charts, graphs, diagrams and other reputed company material as required
• Maintain records such as schedules, status reports, data on equipment, etc
• Prepare or assist in the preparation of routine letters, forms, reputed company of materials, or sketches
• Contact manufacturers, vendors, contractors, as required, to obtain information, expedite receipt of drawings or material
• Prepare or assist in the preparation of data for processing by computer
• reputed company required specifications and drawings for use in obtaining quotations for equipment and contracted work
• reputed company field trips as directed
• May be required to obtain routine data from field
• reputed company other routine duties as required

Skills

• Incumbents who demonstrate satisfactory performance for one (1) year in this classification and have completed the required studies as specified will be eligible for promotion to the classification of Technical Assistant A-8
• Two years college including Engineering, Math, Physics, Chemistry and Drafting
• Applicants who have completed a minimum of one (1) year of prescribed courses in Engineering and are presently continuing in a prescribed course of study leading to a two-year Certificate of Engineering studies as required by recognized local colleges
• Applicants will be required to evidence satisfactory completion of these courses and must have a C average in their major courses
• Valid US Driver's license
• Applicants must submit a copy of their transcript with the application
