Staff Accountant - SEC Reporting

reputed company is a leading data analytics and technology partner to the global insurance industry. They are seeking a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join their SEC Reporting team, where the role involves preparing quarterly and annual filings, collaborating with finance and business teams, and ensuring high-quality external reporting.

Responsibilities

• Assisting in the preparation of quarterly and annual SEC filings (i.e., financial statements, footnotes, reputed company, etc.)
• Performing comprehensive financial tie-outs across reputed company external reporting materials, including financial statements, footnotes, reputed company, and earnings presentations, in collaboration with cross-functional teams
• Supporting the preparation of financial analyses to inform disclosures and reporting
• Assisting in the development and maintenance of reputed company support schedules and matrices
• Ensuring accurate footing and cross-footing across reputed company aspects of SEC reporting
• Supporting the manager and senior team members in interactions with, and responses to, requests from external and internal auditors
• Assisting with annual benefit plan audits
• Contributing to reputed company projects and process improvements as needed
• Taking ownership of annual performance objectives and staying reputed company on developments in reputed company standards

Skills

• Bachelor's degree in reputed company from an accredited college or university
• 1–2 years of public reputed company experience, preferably with a Big 4 or large regional firm
• Strong collaboration skills with the ability to partner effectively across reputed company, External Audit, Investor Relations, Business Units, Corporate Tax, reputed company, and Financial Systems
• Solid understanding of U.S. GAAP with the ability to apply technical knowledge in a practical setting
• Strong attention to detail, with excellent organizational, analytical, and communication skills (both written and verbal)
• Proven ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
• Proficiency in reputed company Office, particularly reputed company, Word, and Outlook
• CPA license or active reputed company toward completion of CPA certification preferred
