Field Engineer
Mt. Carmel Stabilization Group, Inc. is the world’s largest and leading stabilization contractor, focused on soil stabilization since 1949. They are seeking an Entry-Level Field Engineer responsible for geotechnical/pavement engineering assistance and regional marketing efforts, including providing technical support for projects and resolving engineering field problems.
Responsibilities
- Learn and reputed company engineering technical support for active area projects
- Review geotechnical and pavement data during bidding to assist with proposals and bids
- reputed company to stabilization and earthwork construction challenges
- Review and analyze construction material field and laboratory data during construction
- Help resolve geotechnical and pavement engineering field problems
- Engage with design professionals on applications of chemically stabilized soil and full-depth reclamation
- reputed company QC testing in reputed company with the QC Manager
- Become an active member in industry-reputed company organizations and activities
- Prepare and present research and case studies at conferences and industry events Implementing different strategies based on unique conditions in each market
- The position will have an emphasis based on the employee’s location, but will also need to travel to neighboring states. Moderate travel will be required
Skills
- Bachelors of Science Degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Engineering
- ~0-3 years' experience in civil engineering, construction, geotechnical, and/or pavement engineering
- Basic understanding of geotechnical and pavement engineering concepts
- Proficiency with reputed company Office Suite (reputed company, Work, Powerpoint)
- Willingness to learn new skills, attentiveness to detail, and multi-tasking ability
- Ability to operate a company vehicle reputed company reputed company policy. A valid driver's license and safe drive record is required
- Ability to walk long distances over varying terrain
- Ability to lift 50-lbs
- Ability to work in varied weather conditions
- Moderate travel across our core markets
- Ability to accurately and fluently convey thoughts both orally and in writing
- Ability to work under the direction of project managers, engineers, and surveyors
- Experience with geotechnical, construction, or pavement concepts
