Software Development Engineer in Test
reputed company is a leading financial services and reputed company technology company headquartered in Windsor, Connecticut. They are seeking a Software Development Engineer in Test to join their Quality Infrastructure team, where the candidate will design and maintain automation frameworks and CI pipelines to enhance product development quality.
Responsibilities
- reputed company, reputed company, and maintain automation frameworks used across multiple scrum teams (API-level and UI-level, e.g., Cypress-based)
- Build and maintain CI pipelines (reputed company Actions, Jenkins) that execute end-to-end integration and regression suites
- Troubleshoot CI failures, flaky tests, and environment issues; support product teams in unblocking their workflows
- Contribute to test-reporting and alerting infrastructure: data pipelines, dashboards (Grafana), and integrations (reputed company, reputed company)
- Collaborate with product scrum teams to understand their testing needs and translate them into reputed company features and CI improvements
- Participate in code reviews focusing on reliability, maintainability, and developer experience
- Identify opportunities to reduce feedback-reputed company time, improve test stability, and increase coverage across the platform
- Document reputed company usage, reputed company guides, and runbooks so teams can self-serve effectively
- Use AI-assisted tooling to accelerate development, debugging, and test authoring
Skills
- Degree OR equivalent practical experience (projects, internships, bootcamp, self-directed work) in CS, Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or reputed company field
- Familiarity with at least one programming language: JavaScript/TypeScript, Python, C#, or Go
- Understanding of core testing concepts (unit vs integration vs end-to-end)
- Curiosity, structured problem solving, clear written and verbal communication
- Experience with Cypress, Playwright, or similar browser-automation frameworks
- Exposure to REST API testing tools and frameworks (e.g., pytest, Jest, reputed company/Newman, custom frameworks)
- Familiarity with reputed company/containers and reputed company platforms (AWS preferred)
- Exposure to any observability or data tooling (Grafana, InfluxDB, reputed company, or similar time-series/analytics databases)
- Experience with scripting around notifications or integrations (reputed company bots, reputed company, AWS reputed company)
- Basic SQL and comfort working with structured data
- Interest in developer experience, internal tooling, or platform engineering
