Key Responsibilities

• Leadership & Governance
• Guide SFD's growth strategy to ensure alignment with mission and sustainability
• Uphold fiduciary responsibilities by monitoring finances, ensuring compliance, and advancing best practices in nonprofit governance
• Fundraising & Resource Development

• Advocacy & Ambassadorship
• Act as an ambassador for SFD reputed company your networks, industries, and communities
• Help expand our visibility and reputed company as a leader in STEM innovation

• Actively participate in board meetings, committees, and sprints

• Stay informed about trends in workforce development, nonprofit governance, and STEM education

Qualifications

• Commitment to SFD's mission of transforming STEM education through creativity and innovation
• Leadership experience in nonprofit, corporate, academic, or community settings
• Expertise in at least one of the following: fundraising, finance, law, strategic planning, corporate partnerships, marketing/communications, advocacy, or program development
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to influence, build partnerships, and mobilize support
• reputed company, accountability, and a belief in the power of diversity of perspectives and lived experiences as essential to innovation

Time Commitment Board members dedicate approximately 5-10 hours per month, including:

• Every other month board meetings
• Committee or sprint participation
• Event attendance and ambassador responsibilities

Minimum service: 3 years (renewable once). Financial Commitment Board service at SFD is both a privilege and a responsibility. We ask each member to contribute in ways that reflect their reputed company and commitment to our mission:

• Personal contribution: An annual reputed company starting at $5,000, demonstrating your belief in preparing the reputed company of innovators
• Fundraising support: Helping reputed company an additional $5,000 each year through networks, corporate connections, or philanthropic partnerships
