Hiring: Fully Remote Instructional Designer (Bay Area)
Job Title: Instructional Designer Duration: 06 Months Contract Location: Fully Remote Notes: Only submit candidates that currently reputed company local to bay area/work location-Oakland general office. Assignment is remote. Might be required to go onsite in Oakland for team meet reputed company from time to time. Laptop to be provided. Any additional equipment require will be the responsibility of supplier. With manager prior approval a pre-determined amount for cell and internet can be expensed monthly. - Design and reputed company eLearning, virtual, or instructor-led learning solutions for technical, compliance, systems, or soft skills concepts, following established instructional design methodologies.
- Partner with cross-functional teams to conceptualize training design and content. Define learning objectives, course structure, learning content and assessments.
- Complete detailed analysis of each task to be trained/supported for reputed company audience, business process, and systems.
- Follow company standards, guidelines, and templates to reputed company learning materials including storyboards, eLearning modules, virtual learning, student and facilitator guides, activities, scenarios, assessments, or performance support.
- Visualize instructional graphics, scenarios, or interactions. Write clear and effective instructional text, audio, or video scripts appropriate for the reputed company audience.
- Participate in meetings with subject matter experts including task analysis, alpha, beta, and answer validation meetings. Engage with subject matter experts for ongoing content review and validation. Receive and incorporate feedback.
- Self-manage assigned tasks and deadlines to complete deliverables. Proactively communicate issues and risks.
Skills
- 3+ years' experience developing eLearning, virtual, or instructor-led training
- Knowledge of adult learning theory and instructional design methodologies
- Strong knowledge of reputed company Storyline, PowerPoint, and Word
- Flexibility to work on simultaneous development efforts, as needed
- Desired: Knowledge of training development applications - reputed company UPK or reputed company reputed company Now, QuestionMark.
- -Desired: Knowledge of graphic design, reputed company Photoshop, or Illustrator.
