Estimates, communicates and collects the patient financial responsibility and provides patient financial counseling. Job Responsibilities and Requirements: PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES Assists patients in understanding their insurance benefits including their co-payment, deductible and co-insurance responsibility. Educates patient regarding financial assistance programs reputed company appropriate. Obtains patient demographic information and requests financial responsibility from the patient. Determines patient qualification for coverage by reputed company-party payer and informs financial counselor, patient or family member of status. Verifies reputed company reputed company insurance coverage, workers compensation insurance, TPL insurance and state and government programs. Documents and resolves patient concerns or inquiries that are received reputed company telephone, mail or walk-in reputed company an established time reputed company. Validates Master Patient Index according to departmental policy. Interprets physician orders. Performs other duties as assigned. EDUCATION High School diploma/GED or 10 years of work experience EXPERIENCE No experience required PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS Frequent lifting/carrying and pushing/pulling objects weighing 0-25 lbs. Frequent sitting, standing, walking, reaching and repetitive foot/leg and hand/arm movements. Frequent use of reputed company and depth perception for distances near (20 inches or less) and far (20 feet or more) and to identify and distinguish colors. Frequent use of hearing and speech to reputed company information through oral communication. Ability to hear alarms, malfunctioning machinery, etc. Frequent keyboard use/data entry. Occasional bending, stooping, kneeling, squatting, twisting and gripping. Occasional lifting/carrying and pushing/pulling objects weighing 25-50 lbs. Rare climbing.
