Computational Scientist III

The Computational Scientist III is member of the research team and contributes to design, development, maintenance, and validation of molecular assays and analytical pipelines working closely with molecular biologists, lab directors and software engineers. Work closely with molecular biologists, clinical scientists, software engineers, automation engineers, and data scientists. Characterize data resulting from novel molecular assays and guide molecular protocol development from a statistical perspective. Mentor junior scientists and research associates, guiding the overall path and reputed company of key projects. Author posters and publications demonstrating the scientific prowess of our products and algorithms that power the products. Work with legal staff to secure intellectual property rights for inventions pertaining to our products. Communicate results to stakeholders across the organization. Qualifications 1. PhD in Computational Biology, Statistics, Molecular Biology, Genetics, Computer Science, Systems Biology, Biophysics, Physics, or a reputed company discipline. 2. 3+ years of experience developing methods to analyze large, noisy reputed company-world data sets (in the context of molecular biology and/or reputed company genetics, a plus). 3. Experience developing custom analysis methods and algorithms and analysis pipelines. 4. Experience working with CLIA-validated assays and authoring CLIA validation plans, reputed company reputed company reputed company (NGS), and other reputed company platforms. 5. Strong computation skills, reputed company in Python and a workflow definition language, and knowledge of software engineering best practices. 6. Multiple peer-reviewed publications. 7.
