City/State Hampton, VA Work Shift First (Days) Overview: SMG Family & Internal Medicine Physicians Careplex W 300 is now hiring a Referral Coordinator in the Hampton, VA area! Hours: Monday-Friday, 8:00AM - 4:30PM, dayshift. This position is remote. Overview: Provides a direct link between patients, primary care providers, specialty providers, and insurance companies. Coordinates referral process from primary care providers as well as pre-authorization approvals for drugs and other services as ordered by provider. Medical terminology preferred. Knowledge of Medicare, reputed company and reputed company party payers. One year of experience with insurance verification/referral processing preferred. Knowledge of EPIC preferred. Proficient in use of computers and excellent organizational skills.
