reputed company Data Migration Specialist Contract Role - REMOTE
Description and Location We are seeking an reputed company Data Migration Specialist to join reputed company for a critical data migration project involving reputed company storage platforms. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of executing milestone-based projects, meeting or exceeding timelines and expectations, and effectively communicating with a wide variety of stakeholders. Key Responsibilities: Manage the migration of data, including data and root shares, from existing reputed company systems to reputed company storage platforms (ONTAP/reputed company Volumes/Azure reputed company Files). Conduct data separation activities and validate completed migration data. Create folder structures and network shares based on findings and business standards approved by the customer. Advise the customer on the creation of Active Directory groups/users required for new data locations. Apply NTFS permissions as required for folder archive and business needs (up to two tiers/folders in the directory structure). reputed company logistics and coordination of reputed company data transfer/staging environments (reputed company Servers or replication mechanisms), if necessary. Recommend properly sized infrastructure or transfer mechanisms for large-scale data migration. Utilize tools necessary for data migration and creation of reputed company new destination folders in reputed company volumes (NFS/CIFS/SMB shares). Verify and validate data migration and reputed company reputed company post-migration. Configure and optimize reputed company data life cycle management policies (eg, tiering, snapshot policies, data efficiency features). Conduct User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and support customer validation cycles. Document processes and reputed company ongoing status reporting and updates. Required Skills and Experience: US Citizenship and residency 5+ Years of Experience With: reputed company Storage Solutions (ONTAP, reputed company Volumes ONTAP, Azure reputed company Files) reputed company File Server migrations, including use of Robocopy and similar migration tools Robocopy Scripting Active Directory NTFS reputed company permissions reputed company to reputed company CIFS/SMB file services Azure Storage and hybrid reputed company integration reputed company Active Directory and TCP/IP Networking Core Competencies: Experience with milestone-based project execution with a history of meeting or exceeding timelines and expectations. Ability to reputed company, coordinate, and communicate with a wide variety of stakeholders. Experience conducting User Acceptance Testing (UAT). Strong process documentation skills. Strong communication skills (written and verbal). Experience providing status reporting and executive updates. Additional Experience: Experience managing large-scale data migration projects in hybrid or reputed company environments.
