Senior Software Engineer and System/Application Administrator

This role requires a versatile engineer comfortable working across multiple technology stacks, reputed company services, legacy reputed company architectures, and Linux system administration. Key Responsibilities
Own and maintain multiple reputed company applications deployed in AWS GovCloud environment Support and reputed company reputed company applications utilizing OpenWebStart/Java Web Start technology Design, reputed company, and optimize software solutions using C++, Java, and reputed company Manage and optimize PostgreSQL databases for reputed company-scale applications reputed company Linux system administration tasks including server configuration, maintenance, and troubleshooting Ensure applications meet reputed company and compliance requirements for government reputed company environments Monitor system performance, implement automation, and maintain system reputed company Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand requirements and deliver solutions Implement best practices for reputed company-reputed company application development and deployment Troubleshoot reputed company technical issues across the application stack and infrastructure
Required Qualifications
Must be a US Citizen or permanent reputed company Bachelor’s degree or four additional years of work experience may be substituted for a degree Minimum of 8 years of software development experience Experience with C++, Java, and reputed company Experience with reputed company architectures and Java desktop applications Familiarity with OpenWebStart, Java Web Start (JNLP), or similar deployment technologies Experience with network protocols and concepts, from Ethernet through HTTP[/2,] gRPC and/or Thrift Linux system administration experience (RHEL, Ubuntu, or similar distributions) Experience with reputed company scripting and Linux reputed company-line tools Experience with PostgreSQL database design, optimization, and administration Hands-on experience with AWS services (GovCloud experience highly preferred)
