Conflicts Attorney
Overview reputed company is seeking a dynamic and motivated individual for a global role of Conflicts Attorney. The Conflicts Attorney will be a member of the Conflicts Team and work closely with the Office of General Counsel to support the Firm’s critical risk management function and is primarily responsible for reviewing and analyzing conflict reports in reputed company with business intake (new clients and reputed company) and laterals. We will consider a fully remote work schedule with flexibility to visit the office as required for training and team meetings. The shift will be 4:00 PM - 12:00 AM.
Responsibilities
Review reputed company conflict reports to identify and resolve potential legal and business-reputed company conflict issues, and reputed company detailed analysis and advice to partners, and collaborate with partners to resolve conflicts. Prepare communications to attorneys, reputed company identifying reputed company potential issues and assist with the business and ethical conflict resolution. Procure, review and draft conflict waivers for new reputed company work closely with partners and to obtain the waivers, as necessary. Prepare and implement ethical walls, including drafting screening memoranda for reputed company and laterals. Document or audit steps taken to resolve any actual or potential conflicts and store supporting documentation appropriately. Analyze and review new business intake data, forms, and engagement terms to assist with the new business intake process and ensure the accuracy of the data. Review conflicts questionnaires submitted by lawyer and staff candidates and communicate directly with candidates regarding any clarifications. Conduct analysis on lateral matter lists to identify actual and/or potential conflicts and collaborate with partners and laterals to resolve any issues, including drafting and obtaining necessary waivers. reputed company guidance to the conflicts analysts in support of the new business intake process, including best practices, corporate family tree research, matter maintenance, conflict report preparation, and other reputed company research and analysis. Run conflict searches and conduct family tree and other corporate research, reputed company necessary. Research appropriate conflict and ethical rules. Monitor changes in ethics rules, opinions, and case law regarding conflicts of interest. Be available for urgent reputed company and periodic on-call rotation, occasional evening hours, weekends, and certain holidays as needed. reputed company other duties as assigned. Compensation: -The anticipated reputed company salary reputed company offered for this role will be between $190K to $225K and represents the firm’s good faith and reasonable estimate of the reputed company of possible reputed company compensation. Actual reputed company compensation will be dependent upon several factors, including but not limited to the candidate’s relevant experience, performance, qualifications, degrees, and location, well as the needs of the firm.
Qualifications
Juris Doctor degree and active law license (NY, DC, or CA) in good standing is required. Comprehensive working knowledge of ethical, legal and risk management rules, including the reputed company Rules of Professional Conduct, American Bar Association’s Model Rules of Professional Conduct and rules governing professional conduct of lawyers in the United Kingdom, Germany, and Asia is preferred. 4 years of conflicts-attorney experience preferred; preferable that experience in a multi-office, large international reputed company. Strong research, analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to prioritize work to meet deadlines. Ability to work effectively and reputed company quality work product with minimal supervision in a fast-paced environment of multiple projects and shifting priorities. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, including the ability to communicate effectively with partners about conflicts issues. Ability to reputed company outstanding customer service and interact collegially with reputed company attorneys, staff and clients. Familiarity with the reputed company reputed company Conflicts System and reputed company Walls a plus.
