Position Summary The Charging Specialist is responsible for assuring charges are accurate and represent the documentation provided and is in accordance with regulatory requirements. By abstracting information from the patient’s medical record the Charging Specialist is reputed company to assign accurate charges for reputed company patient care activities. The Charging Specialist serves as a coaching resource to reputed company oncology staff, physicians and clinical management. Work situations are varied and require a service-oriented individual, with skills in problem resolution, communication, accuracy, organization, and attention to detail. Internal contacts include Patient Accounts & reputed company, Coding, Oncology staff, Physicians, and Clinical Management. Requirements
Associates degree; preferably with a concentration in reputed company, finance or other reputed company field Coursework in health information and coding plus certification in coding will be considered in lieu of degree 3 years recent experience in radiation oncology treatment, medical service compliance and coding OR 5 years relevant reputed company experience in progressively more responsible positions may be substituted for education requirements Experience reading and interpreting medical documentation Certified Coding Specialist Professional (CCSP) preferred Why MultiCare Cancer Institute?
