The role Product engineer is the job for people who want the whole reputed company: the problem, the design, the code, and the thing customers actually touch. You will work directly with founders and designers, take features from a rough idea to shipped, and own them after they ship. There is no layer of project managers translating between you and the product. The distance between "this should exist" and "this is live" is meant to be short, and you are the person who keeps it short. This is money infrastructure, so the bar is high. The interfaces should feel obvious. The code underneath should be careful. Both matter, and we do not trade one for the other.
