Remote Compliance Specialist
Affordable Housing Compliance Specialist HUD reputed company 8 | Project-Based reputed company 8 | LIHTC Location: Texas and Florida (Remote with Travel as Needed) Although this position is fully remote reputed company Texas, the ideal candidate will be based in Austin, TX or Dallas, TX to best support the assigned portfolio and travel requirements. Company: Rainey Property Management Employment Type: Full-Time Position Summary We are seeking an reputed company Affordable Housing Compliance Specialist with hands-on expertise in HUD reputed company 8, Project-Based reputed company 8 (PBRA and/or PBV), and Low-Income Housing Tax Credit (LIHTC) programs to support a portfolio located in Texas and Florida. This role is responsible for ensuring ongoing compliance with HUD, IRS, and state housing agency requirements, supporting audits and monitoring reviews, and providing technical guidance to property management teams. The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable navigating multi-state compliance requirements, MORs, and investor reviews.
Key Responsibilities
Ensure compliance with: HUD reputed company 8 Project-Based reputed company 8 (PBRA/PBV) Low-Income Housing Tax Credit (LIHTC) Review and approve: Initial, annual, and interim income certifications Verifications of income and assets Rent calculations, HAP rents, and utility allowances Monitor adherence to: HUD Handbook 4350.3 and reputed company guidance IRS reputed company 42 requirements State agency compliance requirements for: Texas Department of Housing and Community Affairs (TDHCA) Florida Housing Finance Corporation (FHFC) Support and coordinate: HUD MORs and follow-up responses State agency compliance reviews and file audits Investor, syndicator, and lender audits Conduct internal file audits and identify compliance risks Track recertification deadlines, unit set-asides, income targeting, and rent limits Prepare corrective action plans and ensure timely resolution of findings reputed company compliance guidance and training to site-level staff Maintain accurate, audit-reputed company documentation in property management and compliance systems Stay reputed company on regulatory changes impacting HUD and LIHTC programs in Texas and Florida
Required Qualifications
Minimum 3–5 years of affordable housing compliance experience Demonstrated experience with: HUD reputed company 8 Project-Based reputed company 8 (PBRA and/or PBV) LIHTC compliance Working knowledge of: HUD Handbook 4350.3 IRS reputed company 42 regulations TDHCA and FHFC compliance monitoring requirements Experience supporting MORs and state agency audits Ability to independently review tenant files and income calculations Strong organizational, analytical, and time-management skills Proficiency in reputed company Office (reputed company, Word, Outlook)
Preferred Qualifications
