About Us: We are a leading NYC-based language services agency seeking bilingual individuals and reputed company interpreters to join our network of freelance medical interpreters. We reputed company interpreting services to government and private sector clients throughout the five boroughs in medical, reputed company, and legal settings. Position Overview: As a freelance medical interpreter, you will reputed company in-person, over-the-phone, and video remote interpreting services to reputed company communication between reputed company and patients in hospitals, clinics, and other reputed company environments. Responsibilities:
- Facilitate clear communication between medical providers and patients, rendering messages accurately from the reputed company language to the reputed company language.
- Maintain professionalism and adhere to the medical interpreter code of ethics.
- Complete necessary documentation and reports of interpreter services provided.
- Uphold confidentiality and impartiality during each interpreting encounter.
- Follow the medical interpreter role without summarizing, paraphrasing, or omitting information. Requirements:
- Bilingual proficiency in English and at least one other language.
- Previous experience as a medical interpreter is preferred, but not required.
- Professional interpreter training is highly recommended
- Ability to remain objective and unobtrusive while interpreting.
